This position is primarily responsible for coordinating the traffic of shipments into the U.S with processing of commercial and logistics documentation in order to obtain customs and other government agency clearance of imported cargo.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling of international shipments
Classification of shipments and preparation of entry documentation
Knowledge of FDA filing
Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies
Schedule pickups and deliveries
Prioritize shipments and follow up with carriers
Respond to internal and external customer requests
Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems
Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed
Process billing ensuring all costs are covered and shipment has been handled in a profitable manner.
